FAQs
1) Do you treat…?
Yes! Naturopathic Doctors (ND) are licensed doctors and are able to treat a wide variety of concerns. ND’s are able to order lab-work and x-rays, prescribe many common antibiotics and refer to a specialist when necessary just like an allopathic doctor(MD). As an ND, I am able to act as your primary care doctor or help you with individual concerns.
2) What happens in the first visit?
Initial visits are typically an hour long and include a great deal of communication and teamwork. Please bring any previous medical information, lab-work or supplements you feel may be important for Dr. Jones to see. A complete history is taken and includes any necessary physical exam. Supplements and lab-work that may need to be ordered incur separate fees.
3) How long are return visits?
Return visits are generally 30min. long but can be up to an hour depending on the patient or doctor’s request.
4) Do you take insurance?
Dr. Jones will bill your insurance as a courtesy. In Oregon, many insurance companies provide policies that cover naturopathic services, but not all insured patients hold such policies. Please make sure you understand how your insurance contract works when seeing Dr. Jones. Any services not covered will be billed to the patient. Right now, supplements are not covered by insurance companies however lab-work may qualify.
5) How much do visits cost?
- New Office Visit $125 - $250 depending on complexity.
- Return Office Visit $75 - $130 depending on complexity.
- New Patient Pap/Annual $155 - $180 depending on your age group.
- Return Patient Pap/Annual $150 - $170 depending on your

Supplements and lab-work are not included in the cost.
6) Do you do hormone testing, hormone therapy and hormone balance?
Yes, this is a special area of interest with Dr. Jones as she has done a great deal of studying and training in hormone testing and therapy. This includes sex hormones (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone), thyroid hormones, thyroid antibodies and stress hormones (cortisol and DHEA). There are also many therapies that are non-invasive and natural for women experiencing symptoms of peri-menopause and menopause.
7) Will I have to change my diet or take a bunch of pills?
Dr. Jones believes strongly in meeting her patients where they are at with their health. Many times this will include nutrition and supplemental recommendations in order to help you reach your goal. Not every diet or pill is appropriate for every person and that is why open communication is so vital to the visit.
